Alexander Vustin (1943-2020)

On April 19, 2020, the remarkable musician Alexander Kuzmich VUSTIN passed away. Since 2016, he had been the "composer in the residence" of our orchestra.

Vladimir JUROWSKI: "Alexander Vustin left. We had known each other for about five years, but it seems to me that I knew him all my life. He was a man of unique moral virtues and a composer of a unique gift. His modesty, warmth, attention and genuine interest in fates and creativity of other people was unparalleled. The grief of loss mixes with my feeling of happiness from knowing such a person. I am convinced that the work of Alexander Vustin will be included in the golden fund of Russian music of the XX-XI centuries. Cherished memory!"
