Vladimir Jurowski appointed Artistic Director of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia

On 24 October 2011, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Avdeev, signed order No. 111-kf appointing Vladimir Jurowski as Artistic Director of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, named after E. F. Svetlanov. The contract with Jurowski is for the duration of three years.
